The ATS Ported Housing offers significant advantages beyond a replacement compressor wheel. The upgraded housing with factory wheel actually flows more air than the "WW" replacements. This Ported Housing will only work on the 1999.5+ 7.3 trucks.

    Fixed my turbo/compressor surge

    I had done several upgrades, but had not touched the turbo on my 2001 7.3L, and was experiencing extreme turbo/compressor surge upon heavy acceleration. I heard several friends just replace the compressor wheel and it helped but didn't eliminate it. I decided to keep my stock wheel and use this ATS ported housing in addition to an aftermarket high flow cold air intake. I actually have very little, if any at all turbo/compressor surge now. I'm glad I didn't touch the wheel at all.
