      Many stock replacement parts such as turbos, injectors, injection pumps, and high pressure oil pumps have a core charge that is associated with the new replacement part. You must return the old part to receive a refund on the core charge.
      In some cases, the core is not reusable, such as in the event of a cracked case, at which point the core deposit would not be credited as the core component is not reusable. Cores that have been disassembled and/or have missing and/or damaged major components will not receive full core credit. Returned cores must be on a "like-for-like" basis, meaning that the returned core has the exact same fitment as the remanufactured component that was purchased. If the core is not "like-for-like," your core may not be eligible for return/credit.

Fitment: 1996-2002 5.9L Dodge Ram 5.9L Cummins 12V/24V

The ATS Billet output shaft is part of the back bone of your 1996-2002 5.9L Dodge Cummins transmission. It is the first hard part to bring power into the transmission and transmit that power to the wheels. With no dampening or power loss other than the torque converter, the shafts in your transmission have a lot to handle. Now add power, weight from a trailer, bigger tires (and is some cases all these things together) and you will be well beyond what that factory shaft was designed for.

The theory behind billet shafts is not quite what you may have in mind. The key to success is not to make the shaft "stronger" necessarily, but give it the ability to absorb more torsional load. The way we do this, is by using billet shafts, they have the ability to rotate further with out breaking. This process is going to give the transmission more flexibility and allow it to transmit more torque and more load without breaking.
