ATS modifies and upgrades the 545-RFE pump to allow pressures up to 200+ psi. The factory pump uses the cast aluminum to serve as the high pressure pump gear support bushing and the two idler gear support bushings, the reality is using the aluminum as a bushing at pressures above stock (110 PSI) is unreliable and the pump gear and housing fails prematurely. The HD ATS pump is redesigned to withstand increased pressures over stock in excess of 200+PSI by installing a high pressure bushing material for the center pump gear to ride in and bushings to support the two idler gears. These modifications not only ensure reliability but they also allow the pump to build more pressure across the RPM range be reducing hydraulic leaks. The Pressure regulator valve assembly and Lock up valve assembly is also reworked to promote proper function and durability.
